Dricus ‘Stillknocks’ Du Plessis is a South African professional mixed martial artist (MMA) currently competing in the Middleweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
In addition to being a two-time EFC Middleweight and former EFC Welterweight champion, he is also a former KSW Welterweight champion.
⚠️ I’ve updated this page a few times since our conversation below. When we recorded it, Dricus hadn’t yet become the world champion. In fact, as I type this, he is now the UFC Middleweight Champion, having defeated Sean Strickland in January 2024 through a split decision after a five-round battle.

Background
Dricus got into martial arts when he was a kid, starting with judo at age five. By the time he was a teenager, he was already winning national kickboxing titles.
He went to the University of Pretoria to study agriculture, but fighting was in his blood, and that quickly took over.
Fun fact: he’s known for setting knockout records and has earned the nickname ‘Stillknocks,’ a play on the sleeping pill Stilnox (a brand of Zolpidem) because his punches put people to sleep.
Dricus du Plessis is a beast. He’s got this insane ability to take punishment and come back stronger. The guy’s a warrior through and through.

Farm attacks
He chatted about his upbringing and about farm attacks targeting White farmers in South Africa, which are a huge problem often ignored by the mainstream media.
I’m glad he speaks out about it.
The establishment downplays the severity of farm attacks because, in my opinion, it doesn’t want to expose the reality which is that it’s overwhelmingly Black on White violence and that would seem racist and, you know, we can’t have that.
I recommend watching Katie Hopkins’ documentary Plaasmoorde: The Killing Fields. (‘Plaasmoorde’ is Afrikaans for ‘farm murders.’) It’s very dark, and you’ll need a stiff drink afterwards, but it’s important because this is the reality here in South Africa.
I also recommend listening to my conversation with Simon Roche about preparing for a race war in South Africa.
The reasons for the excessive violence South African farmers face are largely unknown. While some of it might be random acts of hatred, I believe the majority is internationally backed to manufacture racial tension and fear, and create perpetual instability in the agricultural sector, which is the heart of the country.
Conversation
Dricus is an inspiration and an excellent reason to watch UFC. Besides, fitness and strength are a superb way to buffer against obesity, laziness, and Agenda 2030.
MMA is not just about fighting. It’s about building character.
